With excessive growth of population, the whole
country in general and towns and cities in particular,
have come under tremendous pressure necessitating
proper planning and control for such urban developments
in order to achieve sustainable living environment
of good quality.
The four-year course titled “Bachelor
of City & Regional Planning (B.CRP)”
embraces a wide Spectrum of subjects covering
development plans for the regions, cities, towns,
villages, housing schemes etc, and their methodical
and proper implementation. Some aspects of architectural
design, mapping & aerial photography, housing
policy and building construction controls are
also included in the course. During the final
year, a thesis-cum-design project is to be completed
by the students to give them training in the
practical aspects of planning.
At the end of four years, after completions
of the entire requirements for the degree, including
passing of all the examinations and achieving
the requisite aggregate marks, the degree of
B.CRP. is awarded to the students.
