                 For Faculties as per Statutes regarding Eligibility Criteria for Appointment of the Faculty Members under section 46 (1) (a) of the Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Act, 1977 and Higher Education Commission/Pakistan Engineering Council’s criteria.

 

Applications are invited from qualified candidates domiciled in the Province of Sindh for recruitment to the following posts at Mehran University of Engineering & Technology, Shaheed Zulifqar Ali Bhutto Campus, Khairpur Mir’s. The candidates possessing the educational qualifications and fulfilling the conditions as laid down below should apply on the prescribed online  application form available on the website :http://muet-recruitment.com. The applicant has to make payment of Rs.1500/- through Bank Challan in Habib Bank Limited, Mehran University Booth, Jamshoro or any online branch of HBL.

QUALIFICATION/ EXPERIENCE

PUBLICATIONS

 

Professor (BPS-21) in

 

Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum & Natural Gas Engineering, Electronic Engineering and Software Engineering.

Ph.D. degree in relevant field, recognized by HEC in consultation with PEC with 15 years teaching/research experience in HEC recognized University or a post- graduate institution or 15 years professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization out of which 5 years must be teaching experience.

15 research publications with at least 05 publications in the last five years in HEC/PEC recognized journals.

2.       

Associate Professor (BPS-20) in

 

Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum & Natural Gas Engineering, Electronic Engineering and Software Engineering

Ph.D. degree in relevant field, recognized by HEC in consultation with PEC with 10 years teaching / research experience in a recognized Institution/College/ University or 10 years professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization out of which 2 years must be teaching experience.

10 research publications with at least 04 publications in the last five years in HEC/PEC recognized journals.

 

3.       

Assistant Professor (BPS-19)  in

 

Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum & Natural Gas Engineering, Electronic Engineering and Software Engineering.

Ph.D. in relevant field from HEC recognized University / Institution in consultation with PEC.

No experience required for Ph.D. degree holders.

OR

Master’s degree awarded after 18 years of education as determined by HEC in the relevant field from HEC recognized University / Institution with 4 years teaching / research experience in a recognized Institution /University / College or 4 years professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization.

 

4.       

Assistant Professor (BPS-19) in

 

 

Basic Science & Related studies  (Mathematics) and (Pakistan Study)

Ph.D   in the relevant field from   HEC   recognized University/Institution. No experience required from Ph.D degree holders.

OR

Master degree (foreign) OR M. Phil (Pakistan) OR equivalent degree awarded after 18 years of education in relevant field, from HEC recognized  University/Institution with  04 years teaching/research experience in a  recognized Institution/University/ College/ in the relevant filled in a National or International organization.

 

5.       

Lecturer (BPS-18)

 

 

Civil Engineering, Electronic Engineering and Software Engineering

First Class B.E degree awarded after 16 years of education in the relevant field with no 3rd Division in the academic career from HEC recognized University / Institution. Preference in short listing shall be given to M.E Degree holders from HEC recognized University / Institution.

The applicant(s) must have valid GRE general type at their credit, with minimum of 50 score conducted by National Testing Service (N.T.S).

6.       

Lab. Engineer (BPS-17)

 

Civil Engineering Electrical Engineering,  Electronic Engineering and  Software Engineering

 

First Class B.E degree awarded after 16 years of education in the relevant field with no 3rd Division in the academic career from HEC recognized University / Institution. Preference in shortlisting shall be given to M.E/PGD Degree holders from HEC recognized University / Institution.

 

INSTRUCTIONS

 

1.      Maximum age limit is 50 years for the Professors, 45 years for the Associate Professors, 40 years for    the Assistant Professor, 30 years for the Lecturers and the Lab Engineers, relax able in the cases   of Government / Semi-Government employees in exceptional cases as well as allowed by Government of Pakistan.

2.      Candidates applying for more than one post should submit separate applications forms along with bank challan with necessary documents for each post.

3.      Candidates who are already serving in Government / Semi-Government and autonomous bodies should apply through proper channel accompanied by N.O.C. from the employer. An advance copy of the application may be sent, so as to reach within due date.

4.      Registration with Pakistan Engineering Council as Professional Engineer is mandatory (if applicable).

5.      The recruitment against the above mentioned posts shall be made strictly subject to availability of the posts.

6.      Research Publications must be binded/perforated else application form shall not be entertained.

7.      Application or applications received after the due date will not be entertained.

8.      Only short listed candidates will be called for written test/interview.

9.      No. T.A / D.A. will be paid for appearing at the written test/interview.

10.  The posts are purely temporary, but are likely to be continued.

11.  The University reserves the right to delete any post(s) partially and / or wholly.

12.  All documents from Matric to onward are  must to be attached with the application form else scrutiny of form will be kept in abeyance.
