Applications are invited from qualified candidates domiciled in the Province of Sindh for recruitment to the following posts at Mehran University of Engineering & Technology, Jamshoro. QUALIFICATION/ EXPERIENCE

1.

Manager, (BPS-19/20) at

 

Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC)

 

PhD (in from HEC recognized University/Institution, 02 years (For BPS-19) and 10 years (For BPS-20) experience in a relevant position.

 

OR

 

Master’s degree (foreign) OR M. Phil (Pakistan) OR equivalent degree awarded after 18 years of education as determined by HEC in the relevant field from HEC recognized University / Institution with 5 years (For BPS-19) and 15 years (For BPS-20) teaching / research experience in a recognized Institution /University / College or 5 years (For BPS-19) and 15 years (For BPS-20) professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization.

 

2.

Deputy Manager - Triple Helix Research (BPS-18) at


Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre

First class MS/MPhil/MBA awarded after 18 years of education in Science, Technology and Innovation Policy / Innovation Management/ Entrepreneurship /Economics / General Management/ Strategy from HEC recognized University/Institution.

 

Four years of experience in conducting research on university-industry-government linkages, innovation system, knowledge and technology transfer, research commercialization, startups, technology parks and academic entrepreneurship.

 

Excellent Communication, interpersonal and coordination skills.

Demonstrable management skills to manage a large national programme.

Experience of working with statistical analysis software (SAS, STATA, and SPSS) and carrying out data analysis would be a strong plus.

 

Ability to work both independently and in a team.

 

3.

Assistant Manager - Intellectual Property (BPS-I7) at

 

Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre

First class MBA awarded after 16 years of education in General Management/Innovation Management/ Entrepreneurship/ Strategy/ Finance/ Accounting/ from HEC recognized University/institution. Law degree will be considered as an additional preference.

 

Two years of experience in intellectual property protection and technology transfer and commercialization in the relevant organization.

 

Working knowledge of state, federal and international laws regarding Intellectual property and technology transfer.

Course certifications from the License Executive Society (LES) and any form of linkage with IPO, Pakistan shall be an added qualification.

 

4.

Assistant Manager -
Marketing & Communication (BPS-17)at

 

Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center

First class MBA awarded after 16 years of education in Business and Management/Marketing/ Small and Medium Enterprise Management/ Innovation Management/ Entrepreneurship/Communication from HEC recognized organization.

 

Two years in a marketing and communication role.

Ability to utilize MS Office.

Experience in planning events, workshops and conferences.

Experience in advertising and publication.

Experience in market survey and working with multiple stakeholders, clients in a business environment.

Excellent communication skills both written and oral.

Ability to work both independently and in a team.

 

 

INSTRUCTIONS

1.      Maximum age limit is 45 years for S.NO.1,40 years for S.NO.2 and 35 years for others, relaxable in the cases of Government / Semi-Government employees in exceptional cases as well as allowed by Government of Pakistan.

2.      Candidate having third class degree at any level will not be entertained.

3.      Candidates who are already serving in Government / Semi-Government and autonomous bodies should apply through proper channel accompanied by N.O.C from the employer. An advance copy of the application(s) may be sent, so as to reach within due date.

4.      The recruitment against the above mentioned posts shall be made strictly subject to availability of the posts.
