                 For Faculties as per Statutes regarding Eligibility Criteria for Appointment of the Faculty Members under section 46 (1) (a) of the Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Act, 1977 and
Higher Education Commission/Pakistan Engineering Council’s criteria.

 

Applications are invited from qualified candidates domiciled in the Province of Sindh for recruitment to the following posts at Mehran University of Engineering & Technology, Jamshoro. The candidates possessing the educational qualifications and fulfilling the conditions as laid down below should apply on the prescribed application forms obtainable from the office of the Registrar, Mehran University of Engineering & Technology, Jamshoro on payment of Rs.1500/- through Bank Challan in Habib Bank Limited, Mehran University Booth, Jamshoro / Bank Draft in the name of Director Finance of the University. QUALIFICATION/ EXPERIENCE

PUBLICATIONS

1.

Associate Professor (BPS-20) in

Civil Engg (Adhoc), Electronic Engg (Adhoc), Bio-Medical Engg (Adhoc), Textile Engg (Adhoc), Industrial Engg & Management (Adhoc), Environmental Engg & Management (Adhoc) and City & Regional Planning (Adhoc).

Ph.D. in relevant field from Institution recognized by HEC in consultation with PEC with 10 years teaching / research experience in a recognized Institution/College/ University or 10 years professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization out of which 2 years must be teaching experience.

10 research publications preferably 04 publications in the last five years in HEC recognized journals.

 

2.       

Assistant Professor (BPS-19) in

Electrical Engg (Adhoc), Bio-Medical Engg (Adhoc), Petroleum & Natural Gas Engg (Adhoc), Mining Engg (Adhoc), Metallurgy & Materials Engg.  

Master’s degree awarded after 18 years of education as determined by HEC in the relevant field from HEC recognized University / Institution with 4 years teaching / research experience in a recognized Institution /University / College or 4 years professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization.

OR

Ph.D. in relevant field from HEC recognized University / Institution in consultation with PEC, No experience required for Ph.D. degree holders.

3.       

Assistant Professor (BPS-19) in

English (Adhoc) and Mathematics (Adhoc).

Master degree (foreign) OR M. Phil (Pakistan) OR equivalent degree awarded after 18 years of education as determined by the HEC in the relevant field from HEC recognized University / Institution with 4 years teaching / research experience in a recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization.

OR

Ph.D. in relevant field from HEC recognized University / Institution. No experience required for Ph.D holders.

4.       

Lecturer (BPS-18) in

Institute of Information & Communication Technologies.

 

First Class B.E degree in Computer System Engineering awarded after 16 years of education in with no 3rd Division in the academic career from HEC recognized University / Institution.

The applicant(s) must have valid GRE general type at their credit, with minimum of 50 score conducted by National Testing Service (N.T.S).

5.       

Lecturer (BPS-18) in

Civil Engg, Mining Engg, Environmental Engg & Management (Adhoc), City & Regional Planning (Adhoc) and Architecture.

First Class B.E degree awarded after 16 years of education in the relevant field with no 3rd Division in the academic career from HEC recognized University / Institution.

The applicant(s) must have valid GRE general type at their credit, with minimum of 50 score conducted by National Testing Service (N.T.S).

6.       

Instrumentation Engineer in BPS-17

The candidate must possess a first class Bachelor’s degree (16 years of education) in Electronic, Electrical, Computer System and Telecommunication Engineering with having minimum three years experience. Preference will be given to those having knowledge of FPGA System Designing, Embedded System; Microcontroller based system Design and PLC. In depth expertise in Measurement and Instrumentation will be an added Advantage. Candidate must attach copy of valid PEC Registration.

 

INSTRUCTIONS

 

1.      Maximum age limit is 45 years for Associate Professors, 40 years for Assistant Professor and 30 years for others, relaxable in the cases of Government / Semi-Government employees in exceptional cases as well as allowed by Government of Pakistan.

2.      Candidates applying for more than one post should submit separate applications forms along with bank draft / challan with necessary documents for each post.

3.      Candidates who are already serving in Government / Semi-Government and autonomous bodies should apply through proper channel accompanied by N.O.C. from the employer. An advance copy of the application(s) may be sent, so as to reach within due date.

4.      Registration with Pakistan Engineering Council as professional Engineer and Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners as Professional Architect and Town Planner is mandatory.

5.      The recruitment against the above mentioned posts shall be made strictly subject to availability of the posts.

6.      For S.No.1, five copies of Research Publications and CV must be binded/perforated else application form shall not be entertained.

7.      Application(s) received after the due date will not be entertained.

8.      Only short listed candidates will be called for written test/interview

9.      No. T.A / D.A. will be paid for appearing at the written test/interview.

10.  The posts are purely temporary, but are likely to be continued.

11.  The University reserves the right to delete any post(s) partially and / or wholly.
