Workshop on Cyber Entrepreneurship

JAMSHORO 1ST FEBRUARY, 2011 (PR). A one day workshop on “Cyber Entrepreneurship” was arranged by Institute of Information & Communication Technologies, MUET Jamshoro in collaboration with Pakistan Technology Board, Ministry of Science & Technology under Technology Foresight Program.         Prof. Dr. B.S. Chowdhry, Director Institute of Information & Communication Technologies informed that outsourcing of project gives many business opportunities for our young talented IT students & graduates. Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. M.A. Uqaili informed delegates that MUET has taken a big step and have already established “Technology Innovation Centre” (TIC-MUET) in the department of Software Engineering. He further said that this project will provide opportunities to carry out indigenous projects by local researchers in the area of Information & Communication Technology (ICT) which is enabler as solution provider for all other segments of society.

Cyber Entrepreneurship Speakers

On this occasion hands on training was provided by Mr. Murtaza Zaidi, CEO of Cybervision International and Mr. Badar Sultan Minhas of Pakistan Technology Board. They showed that there are thousands of jobs available in various areas for outsourcing and what required is hard work & initiative. They appreciated efforts of Mehran University where they have already established “Technology Innovation Centre”. They said regular training to students be imparted in this Innovation Centre and student working in the centre can generate revenue for themselves & university as well. 

The workshop was attended by large number of students & faculty members.
