Mehran University hosts a variety of research groups dedicated to advancing knowledge and innovation across multiple disciplines. These groups foster interdisciplinary collaboration, addressing both national and global challenges.

Energy and Environmental Engineering Research Group (EEERG)

The EEERG at MUET focuses on developing sustainable solutions in energy and environmental sectors. The group comprises experts from various departments, including Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Environmental Engineering. Research interests span energy modeling, renewable energy systems, environmental monitoring, and waste management.

Nanomaterials Research Group

This group is dedicated to the exploration and development of nanomaterials with applications in various industries. Located within the Department of Textile Engineering, the group has made significant advancements in producing nanofiber membranes, face masks, flytraps, and water filters. Their research contributes to the fields of materials science and nanotechnology, addressing both local and global challenges.
