OUTSOURCING OF SERVICES

01. SECURITY SERVICES

Mehran University of Engineering & Technology (MUET), Jamshoro intends to hire services of reputable Security Agencies on contract basis to provide protection to the premises and personnel of:-

  • MUET Jamshoro Campus
  • Mehran University College of Engineering & Technology, Khairpur (constituent College of MUET)

The terms and conditions are given as under:-

  1. The Agencies must be registered with Home Department, Government of Sindh, Karachi, Income/ Sales Tax Department.
  2. Tender forms are available at Security Office of the University and can be purchased on payment of prescribed non-refundable tender fee of Rs.1,000 from 22-04-2010 to 12-05-2010 up to 12:00 Noon. The tenders will be received back upto 1:00 pm and opened at 1:30 pm on the same date i.e 12-05-2010 by the authorized Committee in presence of Bidders or their authorized representative who wish to be present.
  3. The bidders should submit 2% earnest money of the bid amount in shape of call deposit in favor of the Director Finance, Mehran University of Engineering & Technology, Jamshoro.
  4. The bidders should submit affidavit to the effect that (a) the firm/ contractor has not been black listed previously by any Federal or any Provincial Government or executing/ procuring agency and (b) all documents / particulars / information furnished are true & correct.
  5. The Procuring Agency may reject all or any bids subject to relevant provisions of PPRA Rules.

02. Mehran University of Engineering & Technology, Jamshoro also intends to hire services of reputable transporters on contract basis for one term (extendable for another term on satisfactory performance) to provide pick up/ drop facilities to its students/ staff residing at different localities in and surrounding of Hyderabad/ Jamshoro/ Kotri on the following terms and conditions:-

  1. Description of the fleet as given in tender document. The bidders should submit Tax registration certificates and copy of N.I.C and profile of Manager/ Supervisor, who will manage the fleet. Manager/ Supervisor must be graduate and having experience of managing transport as outsource preferably Universities.
  2. Tender forms can be purchased on payment of prescribed non-refundable tender fee of Rs.5,000 from 22-04-2010 to 12-05-2010 up to 12:00 Noon from MUET.
  3. The tenders should be submitted in two separate envelops in accordance with single stage two envelop procedure in accordance with the provisions of PPRA Rules. The sealed envelopes should be marked as (a) Technical Proposal and (b) Financial Proposal
  4. The tenders will be received back upto 1:00 pm and Technical Proposals will be opened at 1:30 pm on the same date i.e             12-05-2010 by the authorized committee in accordance with relevant provisions of PPRA Rules. A high level technical committee will scrutinize Technical Proposals, physically check/ verify the fleet and technical capability of Transport Company/ Firm. The committee will also get verified the bio-data of Drivers (who must possess HTV Driving license at least 05 year old) and other staff of the hired buses from NADRA.
  5. The Buses should be in good condition and Transport Company/ Firm will be responsible for all expenditure/ services including Cost of fuel, Driver/Cleaner (Non-drug addict/ smokers), Service & maintenance, various taxes/ levies, challans/fines etc. The Transport Company/ Firm will also be responsible for security of its fleet.
  6. The Financial Proposals will be opened on any specified date to be communicated in advance to all bidders, whose Technical Proposals are accepted.
  7. The bidders should submit 2% earnest money of the bid amount or Rs.500,000 (whichever is higher) in shape of call deposit/ pay order/ Demand Draft in favor of Mehran University of Engineering & Technology, Jamshoro.
  8. The bidders should submit affidavit to the effect that (a) the firm/ contractor has not been black listed previously by any Federal or any Provincial Government or executing/ procuring agency and (b) all documents / particulars / information furnished are true & correct.
  9. The Procuring Agency may reject all or any bids subject to relevant provisions of PPRA Rules.
