The Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC), Mehran University of Engineering & Technology (MUET), Jamshoro, is organizing a training session on Outcome-Based Education (OBE) for faculty members of the Faculty of Mechanical, Process & Earth Engineering (FOMPEE).

The session is aimed at strengthening faculty understanding and practical application of OBE principles, with a focus on OBE-based course planning, formulation of learning outcomes, assessment methods, and alignment of teaching and assessment practices.

The training session will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Siren Hall, ORIC, MUET, Jamshoro.

The session will be conducted by Dr. Samander Ali Malik, Associate Professor, Textile Engineering Department, MUET. Dr. Malik holds a PhD from Germany and has extensive experience in teaching, research and academic administration, including work related to Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and Outcome-Based Assessment (OBA).

The training will cover key areas including learning outcomes, course planning, assessment methods, teaching strategies, and continuous improvement, supporting faculty members in strengthening outcome-oriented teaching and assessment practices.

The session is open to faculty members of the Department of Industrial Engineering, along with two nominated faculty members from each of the other departments of FOMPEE.

The initiative reflects MUET's continued efforts to enhance teaching quality and promote effective, outcome-oriented academic practices across its academic programs.
