Mehran University is home to several distinguished research centers, each dedicated to advancing knowledge and innovation across various engineering and technological domains.

U.S.-Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Water (USPCAS-W)

Launched with support from USAID and in partnership with the University of Utah, USPCAS-W at MUET aims to tackle Pakistan's water security challenges. The center emphasizes applied research, curriculum innovation, technical training, leadership development, policy formulation, gender equity, and advocacy. Its mission is to foster sustainable solutions for water-related issues through collaborative efforts.

National Center of Robotics and Automation (NCRA) – Condition Monitoring Systems (CMS) Lab

As part of a consortium of 11 labs across 13 Pakistani universities, the NCRA's CMS Lab at MUET focuses on pioneering research in condition monitoring, robotics, and automation. The lab aims to develop predictive maintenance solutions for transportation infrastructures, particularly in railway systems, enhancing safety and reliability. Key objectives include designing non-invasive testing technologies and early fault detection systems.
