Department of Electronic Engineering Organizes 0.5 CPD Seminar on 2D Human Pose Estimation
The Department of Electronic Engineering at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), Jamshoro, in collaboration with the Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC-MUET), successfully organized a 0.5 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) seminar titled "2D Human Pose Estimation Using OpenPose Toolbox." The academic session awarded participants 0.5 CPD credit points.
The seminar forms part of the department's ongoing commitment to faculty and student development in emerging technologies.
Delivered by subject expert Dr. Saba Baloch, the interactive session provided hands-on exposure to multi-person keypoint detection models and their practical applications in artificial intelligence, computer vision, robotics, and image processing. Participating students, faculty members, and research scholars explored how deep learning neural network frameworks extract spatial features for real-world motion analysis and object tracking.
The event was coordinated by Engr. Shoaib Khaskhelli, Convenor of the Departmental Event Management Committee. The joint efforts of the department and ORIC-MUET provided a structured learning environment bridging academic theory with practical AI applications.
The Department of Electronic Engineering extends its sincere gratitude to Chairperson Prof. Dr. Wajiha Shah for her leadership, speaker Dr. Saba Baloch for sharing her expertise, and Engr. Shoaib Khaskhelli for organizing a successful academic event.
