Seminar on Recruitment in Industries

As an ISO smart objective, a seminar on “Recruitment in industries-Job Seeking Secrets and Interview Preparation”, was successfully held on August 10, 2023, at the AV Hall in the IT building of Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET). The seminar resource person was Dr. Irfan Ahmed Halepoto, Associate Professor, Department of Electronics Engineering. The esteemed Chief Guest of the event was Prof. Dr. Wajiha Shah, accompanied by faculty members. The participants in attendance were final year students belonging to the FEECE (19 Batch). The seminar was organized by the Departmental Event Management Committee, of Electronics Engineering, MUET, Jamshoro.

The seminar commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran. In her welcome note, the event Chief Guest Prof. Dr. Wajiha Shah, extended the warm welcome to the resource person, esteemed faculty members, and eager participants. In her speech, Prof. Dr. Wajiha Shah talked about the importance of preparing the students for their upcoming expressed professional life specially Recruitment in industries and its secrets and preparation. She also briefs the student about the steps to getting a good job. She also appreciated and applauded the sincere efforts of the resource person for his dedication and commitment in making the seminar a reality.

Dr. Irfan Ahmed Halepoto, the distinguished resource person, then commenced his enlightening lecture. With a profound focus on the steps encompassing job recruitment and selection, Dr. Irfan provided invaluable insights to the participants. His discourse delved into key facets, such as the meticulous review of applications, the process of short-listing candidates, the significance of knowledge and technical assessments, the preliminary interview screening, and an exploration of various types of selection interviews. This informative seminar on recruitment in industries not only have enriched the understanding of the participants but also empowered them with the essential knowledge needed to navigate the competitive world of job placement. The seminar, covering a good number of reasons and steps on how to get a good job in different industries helped the student in a great deal.
